Paris, October 17, 2025 – SHAPE (Sexual Health Advocacy Peer Education) is a newly founded European network committed to advancing sexual health and rights for all. Activists and professionals from Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, and other countries across the Europe and the EECA region have joined forces to share knowledge, experience, and resources.
SHAPE is a not-for-profit network that provides a space for peer exchange, mutual empowerment, and professional collaboration. It is open to everyone engaged in sexual health, regardless of professional background or institutional affiliation. The only requirement for joining is a commitment to the network’s preamble, which is based on the World Health Organization’s definition of sexual health.
SHAPE aims to strengthen sexual-health literacy and peer-led education, advocate for evidence-based, human-rights-driven policies, and build bridges between activists and professionals across Europe. The network’s members, many with years of HIV-activism experience, seek to take the next step in promoting holistic approaches to sexual health and wellbeing.
“Sexual health is more than the absence of an infection or disease – it’s a matter of dignity, participation, and human rights,” says [Name, Title, Country], founding member of SHAPE. “We want to connect people who bring expertise and lived experience. Together we shape new perspectives for sexual health in Europe,” adds [Name, Title, Country], also founding member of SHAPE.
SHAPE makes its public debut on October 17, 2025, during the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS) Conference in Paris, where it presents its mission and invites new members to join.
The founding statement is issued jointly by FES Poland, GSSG Germany, and the international NGO Life4me.plus, based in Switzerland.
