GSSG Gemeinnützige Stiftung Sexualität und Gesundheit

The GSSG Foundation promotes sexual health and rights by fighting stigma and discrimination. We support HIV prevention, sex worker rights, and sexual education.

Focus & Description

The non-profit Foundation for Sexuality and Health (GSSG) primarily develops and supports projects in the field of sexual health. A particular focus is placed on health education. The foundation collaborates with experts from around the world and aims to empower individuals to help themselves through its activities.

The foundation began its work in 2007. Since then, several projects have been running under the umbrella of the GSSG. These include "Lifeboat Germany," a media project for HIV-positive mothers; the web portal "Sexsicher" (Sexually Safe), which informs men about the risks of various sexual practices; and the magazine DHIVA, published by a volunteer editorial team since 1994, which covers everything related to HIV that interests women.

In addition to funding such projects, the GSSG is also involved in public relations and lobbying on all topics related to sexual health. The foundation collaborates with partners both in Germany and abroad.
